History
Sakaw Terrace is a four-storey senior’s facility with 145,000 square feet of total floor/roof area. It was developed to provide high-quality housing for seniors, incorporating modern architectural features and accessibility standards. It was executed using the IPD model to foster close collaboration with all project stakeholders. Collins Steel played an integral role in the design of the structural steel superstructure. Our focus was to drive efficiency and innovation while maintaining a focus on quality, sustainability, and community benefit.
Project Processes & Outcomes
Our Lead Detailer worked closely with the structural engineer throughout the entire design process, ensuring seamless collaboration from start to finish. The structural design was developed in Tekla, which significantly reduced detailing costs for the overall project. This approach led to an elimination of waste and ensured construction was executed on time and within budget.
